Dr Clodagh Kenny

General Practitioner

Dr Kenny graduated from UCC in 2002. She has worked as a GP since 2011 having completed the South West GP Training Scheme.

She is interested in all areas of general practice but has a special interest in women’s health, primary care dermatology and medicine for the elderly. She is a registered LARC fitter and a LARC tutor and a registered smear taker.

She has a diploma in child health and medicine for the elderly and a masters in sports and exercise medicine from UCC.

She is a member of the Irish college of general practitioners and is also a member of the royal college of physicians of Ireland having completed her medical memberships in 2006. She is a GP trainer on the south west GP training scheme.

Dr Nuala Rigney

General Practitioner
Dr Nuala Rigney qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 1984 She trained as a GP in the Dublin GP Training Scheme and became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and of the Royal College of GP’s in 1988. She has been working as a GP in West Kerry since 1992. She has a Certificate in Palliative Care and has a particular interest in this area as well and in women’s health. She is a contraception tutor and a member of the British Menopause Society .

Cora Carroll

GP Nurse
Cora graduated from Munster Technological University (MTU) in 2013 with a Bsc Honours degree in General Nursing. She joined our Practice Team in 2018, working full- time Monday- Thursday. She is a certified Cervical Check Smear taker, and has a special interest in Chronic Disease Management and Wound Management. She also oversees childhood and adult immunisations and diagnostics including blood tests, ECGs and 24 hour BP monitoring. Cora is married to Paul who have 3 young children, who keep her on toes when she is not at Castlegregory Medical Centre

Bridget Clifford

Receptionist

Bridget brings to her role a welath of knowledge and has been a Medical Secretary in Castlegregory for over 25years.

Job description:

General Practice Nurse Required

Hours: 16–34 hours per week

Essential: Level 7 Nursing Degree & Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) – General Nurses division.

Desirable: Experience in General Practice Nursing, 2+ years clinical experience

Key Responsibilities, to include but not limited to:

Cryotherapy, Ear Syringing, ECG, Phlebotomy, Cervical Smears, ABPM, CDM

This role requires a clinically skilled, personable, and adaptable individual. It offers the opportunity to make a positive impact both the practice and our local community.
